Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) has warned people building structures on sewer and water pipe lines that they risk having their buildings destroyed by the company.

LWSC public relations manager Topsy Sikalinda says constructing on water and sewer lines is not only illegal but also risks the safety of the pipes.

Mr. Sikalinda says once the pipes are destroyed, a lot of people will be affected as water supply and drainage systems will not work properly.

He has also urged members of the public to report all cases of people suspected to be building on water and sewer lines.
